PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE ADDED a DEMO and PARTS in E Minor!!

Please make sure you take note of the dates and other details below.

PERCUSSIONISTS:

Please take a look and see which of the 2 parts you would prefer to play. The tempo should be very fast so both parts are quite challenging in different ways. I made the recording at 170 but really I would like it to be 180. (which is 10 bpm more difficult lolz) The cajon part requires bruised hands and sore legs essentially and the conga part has more difficult rhythms and some conga technique is required. I would prefer that the cajons be cuban style, but we could sneak in south american sit cajon if we have enough. However I will leave it for you to decide. There are some alternatives to cajon and conga I would be willing to entertain. (like piccolo SD for conga, or overturned bd, or chekere) but the parts should all be doubled up by folks that are at least playing on congas and cajon so we can have that massive bunch-of-folks-playing sound. long story short is that you decide. good and thanks!!!!

Vocalists:

Obviously I chose a key that would be handy for me to sing, but I we should make this comfortable for y'all. My arrangement as I recorded it and wrote charts is in Bminor. Most of the melody lives within like 7 semitones so we should get that in the prime range.

Guitarist Karl Evangelista:

Let me know when you're back and I can give you my bass. This stuff should be pretty easy, but the technique should be pretty specific. all the sixteenth note stuff should be palm muted and super dry and short as a metal bass player would play. i.e. ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOR0hUIGb4Y

bay area locals Mark Clifford and Jordan Glenn:

I know ya'lll don't really play too many congas or cajons which is why i am today trying to make a new drum out of a dead tree that I found underneath the freeway and other materials as well. let's talk
